It's time to get this ball rolling. Or prayer started. For many years, I have followed Christ, without paying much attention to actually 'reading' His Word in his great book: The Bible. That said, I have always prayed, I have always asked for guidance and always tried to follow his Commandments as best as I possibly could - reprimanding myself (continuously) when I failed.
During the years, I have constantly asked God for guidance, not understanding that I had 2 other 'helpers' on hand to show the way (Jesus and the Holy Spirit).
Today, because I am impatient (I've waited for 17 years), and seen all the people getting up and doing good for on behalf of Christ, I thought, why not get going? I have tried to find a way to make that happen, so reverted back to reflecting on my skills and experience that have been accumulated over the years.
I'm not the kind of person to spout off about the achievements I have made, or the trophies I have collected, instead, I spend a little time each morning thanking God for the gifts He has bestowed upon me. His grace has not been short in coming in my direction.
But... yes, there's always that 'but' on the horizon. That 'what if?' on the cusp of things that keep me from moving forward. That ever such slight hesitancy before taking one more tiny step or grasping that door knob... it's a bit of a dissuader, I can vouch for that with all my heart.
I have spent many years asking for guidance. Pleading for a hint at what it is that God wants me to do for Him, for the Souls he wants to save. So, as I lay in my bed, I reflected on the gifts He had given me.
I'm observant. After several decades of studying psychology and practicing counselling of traumatised people, I know the human psyche very well.
I can write. I've published my own books and helped others publish theirs too. I've also produced newsletters for businessess, charities and local communities. I've written thousands of blogs and vlogs.
I love art. Always had a keen eye for painting animals, putting pictures together, graphic design and creating pleasant and awe-inspiring images.
All these are certainly gifts from Him.
Therefore, I thought, why not just write?
That's a thing I can do. I can put the gifts God has given to little old me by pulling words together. All those words frequently appearing in my head. They've always had an urgency to spring out of this fantastic brain He has gifted me with. Yes, I thought, I can follow His Word, they are an inspiration from Him anyway, by pulling the words his Holy Spirit inspires me with, together.
That, I think I can do.
So, if you'd like to follow me, the words I pull together for those who want to follow God, his beautiful Son and his Divine Holy Spirit, then read my blog posts here:
